Cooking Club for International Spouses and Partners
Cooking club is one of the many programs offered through the support of the Duke Student Affairs and the Duke International House. Its purpose is to support spouses/partners of Duke International students by providing an opportunity for them to meet together weekly for socializing and learning how to cook dishes from various cultures."
Regular attenders sign up to be the "chef". The "chef" is responsible for deciding on 2-3 dishes to prepare, printing copies of the recipes for the group, and providing all the ingredients to make the dishes. Usually 2-3 people sign up to be the "chef" on a particular day. Everyone works together to prepare the dishes and then we sit down together to enjoy the meal. The meals are always delicious!
We meet every Monday, 10AM-12PM, at Blacknall Presbyterian Church located at 1902 Perry St., Durham. We meet at a church but our meetings are not religious in nature. If you have any questions, you may contact Kara South at kjsouth@mac.com or call 919-259-6644.
Please enjoy browsing through our site to see pictures and download the recipes of dishes we have made this year and in the past few years.
